Dr. Avis has been in private practice for over 12 years. She is a 1995 graduate of Western States Chiropractic College.
She became interested in pursuing a career in chiropractic while attending the University of Victoria. She had been taking classes in physical education, biology and chemistry. Going into the chiropractic profession was the next step. “I wanted to incorporate science and physical education in some way to help people with their health in a positive way. Chiropractic care seemed like the right choice!”
She is experienced with treating a variety of conditions including but not limited to: spinal strains and sprains, disc injuries, headaches, TMJ disorders, sciatica, and vertigo. Dr. Avis has treated patients of all ages, from newborns to 98 year olds.
She continues to take seminars to further her education to best serve her patients. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors, sports and hanging out with her furry dog, Tikka.
