Dr. DJ Goldstein’s passion for chiropractic began to take hold while playing a wide range of sports in high school and college. Sports were the focal point of his life growing up in Wimberley, Texas, a one-stoplight town outside of Austin. He played football, baseball, basketball, soccer, golf, and ran track throughout high school and continued to run track in college. His lower back problems began freshman year of high school, and this led him to his first chiropractic visit. After just one adjustment, he knew this was just what he needed. Regular chiropractic care effectively kept him on the field and in optimal health throughout his high school and collegiate sports career. After college, he had not planned on pursuing chiropractic as a career but still held closely a deep affinity for the profession and an acute recognition of chiropractic’s capability to heal those in need.
Dr. Goldstein’s path to becoming a DC does not fit the norm. With a deep love for science and a passion for education, he had originally planned on pursuing a career in collegiate teaching and psychological academia. After years of working as a PhD student, teacher, and research psychologists at UC Irvine in California, he realized he was not on the right career path for him. His positive experiences as a chiropractic patient throughout his high school and collegiate athletic career combined with his burning desire to help others led him to pursue his DC degree. He could think of no better career than one in which he gets to directly affect the lives of those around him in a positive way. It is his life’s mission to heal as many people as possible with his own two hands, and this is evident in his empathic care of his patients.
To help his patients achieve mobility and balance, Dr. Goldstein utilizes a combination of chiropractic manual adjustments, soft tissue work, and education regarding therapeutic exercises and lifestyle in order to restore and maintain a healthy state of being for his patients. Dr. Goldstein believes the best way to ensure success of chiropractic therapy is to educate the patient and provide tools for them to utilize in their daily life that empower them to continue their healing in between clinic visits. Dr. Goldstein wants to provide patients with strategies they can use on their own to prevent them from having to spend excess time and money on treatment beyond what is absolutely necessary.
When he is not helping his patients, you will find Dr. Goldstein spending time with his beautiful wife Aimée (pronounced Ah-may) and their wonderful son Bodhi. They love hiking the gorgeous Pacific Northwest, spending time at the coast, and attending various music and arts festivals in the area.
